Not much just some pictures

We haven't been doing all that much the last couple weeks. I have been trying to finish all the projects I keep putting off and Wills has been "uncleaning" everything I clean. Although he likes to help with the choirs any mother knows what that really means. I only note this to say that when I load the dishwasher he is sure to engage me or dad in a game of spatula swords, when I vacuum no one is more willing to help then Wills and any other choir I find myself doing I have a willing helper. Although his help usually makes life harder I would rarely have it any other way then having my faithful companion right along side. All this changes of course the moment that Daddy walks in the door and we both know Wills could be having more fun somewhere else.Mommies little helperWills loves to help me vacuum! He gets pretty upset if he doesn't get a turn.

Exciting news for the Moulton Family

We are thrilled to announce, for anyone who hasn't heard, that we are expecting our second baby. I am due July 12 which will put Wills and his little sibling about 2 years apart. We can't wait for Wills to have another friend to hang out with all the time, especially for those times mom or dad are busy.
Now that I am almost 15 weeks I have started to feel better. The first couple months of pregnancy are never fun for any of us but hopefully the nausea and other first trimester symptoms continue to decrease so mommy feels all better soon. I would show you pictures of our new developing baby in mommy but there isn't much to see yet :) According to the baby's first picture everything looks good on the inside which is always a blessing to hear.
Other baby news is that I think we are going to keep the sex of the baby a surprise. I think it will be really fun to not know if we are having a boy or girl until it is born. I am also hoping it will help during labor (that is kind of a joke but there is a big part of me that really hopes so!) Hopefully I feel the same way when we get our second ultra sound at 20 weeks :)
Anyway that is our exciting news... I promise the next post will have some pictures :)

The rest of the holidays

After returning home we had the opportunity to have a mini Christmas/ Birthday party for family members with my family. We had a great time all hanging out and opening more gifts. Unfortunately I forgot he camera or I could show you pictures of the super cool ty-dye shirts my brother Nate and his son Gavyn made for the whole family (all 17 of us plus one extra for our family:) We received so many fun gifts but among our favorites were DDR (dance dance revolution)and sing star for PlayStation . We had a blast singing and dancing our hearts out. Although Nick lacks any singing talent he certainly tries and he is pretty entertaining. I beat him pretty easily at sing star and he kills me at ddr (and looks like a complete nerd doing it :) Good times. New Years Eve was spent at Dan and Chrisy's just hanging out. Then on New Years we played kick ball and had pizza followed by some group competition in sing star. All told we had a wonderful time over all our holidays, we especially enjoyed daddy being home extra time. Sorry there aren't any pictures I kept forgetting the camera.

Christmas in Georgia

We headed to Georgia on December 19th. Nick had to be back two days after Christmas to work so we went and spent time with the family before Christmas. Considering the fact that it is a 4 1/2 hour flight which Wills spent on our laps he did really well on the air plain.

We spent the days before Christmas hanging out, staying up late, and trying to get Wills to adjust to the time difference.
Chris, Missy, and Anna arrived on Saturday (for those who don't know Nick is number 1 of the 8 and Missy is number 2.) We were really excited for there arrival for several reasons. It had been a long time since we had seen them last (almost two years can you believe that!!!) So clearly Anna and Wills had never met. Nick especially enjoys the times he gets to see Missy as they were best buds growing up and when she is absent a big piece of "home" is missing for him. So the big introduction of the two little ones was kind of funny. Anna and Wills just kind of stared at each other for awhile. I think it took a couple hours and a nap before they really started playing together. They did have a great time and it is so nice to have a cousin Wills age.
So Christmas morning arrived and unfortunately for Hannah, the California bums slept in, but eventually the festivities were under way. Everyone had a great time opening gifts and sharing in the mutual delight of all that was received. Wills and Anna had so many gifts to open that they had to take a snack break and then return for more later.

Anna's hair was sticking up cause of the static

Uncle Rob playing his new Nintendo DS

Hanging out in the Kitchen where work was constantly being done. I think in this picture a lemon merengue pie and several pie crust were being made. Nick and Wills were making hot, cold chocolate. Nicks special mix.

Anna wondering when her makeover began. Funny Katie was simultaneously wondering when hers ended. You did look great when it was finished Katie!

Christmas morning...
Wills first present
Wills received so many fun gifts but his favorites were two he didn't get. Katie bought Anna a weasel ball. This fake furry weasel is stuck to the ball, you flip the batteries on and the thing moves all over. Wills thought it was great!! Anna, Missy, and Sarah weren't as sold. Wills other favorite toy wasn't even opened. It was Uncle Rob's rocket launcher box. Wills thought it was so fun to push the box around and around the floor.

Uncle Jon gave Wills a Jack-in-the-box. Wills thought it was pretty fun. Here as his smile when it popped out. This picture also shows our little mans snaggle tooth.

Anna moving in for a hug. Wills wasn't digging any hugs this particular morning even though at other times he gave her some really nice hugs. Wills thoughts "wow girlfriend back it up" lol!
Anna will sit and look at books for a really long time. I can hardly get Wills to sit still while I read him one.

Little Anna just hanging out with Grandma having a snack.

Grandma got the swifter out and made it small so the kids could push it all around the house.

Wills doing who knows what?
Although we are thankful to be home we had a wonderful time in Georgia. Thanks to all the Moulton's, but especially grandma, for all the hard work cooking and cleaning for all of us. We hope everyone else had a Christmas that was as wonderful as ours.

ignoring the blog

Well the last days after the holidays, I have just been relaxing and taking time to reorganize the house, well that's not all but I haven't taken time to update my blog is the point. Wills and I have thoroughly enjoyed the last weeks because we got to have Nick extra extra time. Nick finished school for the semester so we have him back three nights a week which he was usually absent, SOOOOO nice. On top of that he had time off for the holidays. So we were able to spend several extra days together as a family. I love family time and Wills really loves having his daddy home! Since life has returned to mostly normal not much has been happening around the Moulton house.

Since I haven't updated on any of the holidays I think I will take them holiday by holiday and the aftermath all in different post. Since I am the mother of a busy energetic little man this will probably take me awhile so hang in there.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone. We are spending Christmas in Georgia with Nick's family. We have had a wonderful time eating great food and sharing many laughs with family. We hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

Remember our Saviors this Christmas with every gift you give and receive. He gets lost amongst all the bustle. How sad that we forget the ultimate gift He gave by laying down his life for our sin! Amazing Love how can it that you my King should die for me! As we read the story of Jesus birth this morning I reflected on how amazing our savior is. How exciting that we can celebrate his birth instead of Santa Clause and wonderful gifts that ultimately have no value.

Oh Christmas Tree

Well I guess since we have had out Christmas tree since the weekend after thanksgiving I can share a little something about our glorious tree. Nick says and I quote "this is the best Christmas Tree I have ever had." I would venture to say that the reason this tree tops the Christmas tree list is it is simply huge. When we cut it down it was roughly over 13 feet. Some of you may wisely be thinking, don't you live in a one bedroom apartment??? The answer to that is still yes, however, because we have vaulted ceilings, we (Nick) decided that we should get the biggest tree possible. So several weeks ago we headed to Tahoe National forest gathered a $10 permit and headed out to find a Christmas tree. So we went for a little hike to find a tree, after an hour and a half of searching to no avail, we decided to try another spot. Fortunately this spot we could mostly stay in the car and so we did tree spotting from the warm cab of Uncle Dan's truck. As time was not our friend and sunset passed we still didn't have our tree but there was still enough light to continue our search. All ended well and we came home with two tree's, one for us and one we cut down for my parents using the headlights of the truck . This is a great way to get a tree because it only cost us $10 for a 13 foot tree, however, many of the tree's grow however they can often causing missing spots or other such problems. Our tree is a beauty! It's only flaw is its "delightfully" crooked. Also the top 2 feet remain undecorated because we simply can't reach it.

Here is a picture of our sweet little man helping decorate the tree. He likes all the pretty lights.

We have out lights on a power strip so when we are arriving home or leaving Wills does the honor of turning the lights on or off. It is really cute. He also likes to randomly flip them on and off throughout out the day.

The tree doesn't look that big from this picture

Here I am standing on a three foot entrainment center and the tree still towers above me.

The finished product.
We had the tree for a week and a half before we decorated it. Even then Nick was a little bummed that he lost his forest in our house. Nick really does love this tree he doesn't even want to correct the lean by adding wood under the base of our stand.

Laugh out loud! see how the tree all of a sudden gets crooked in the middle. We really do love our huge Christmas tree!! The extra lean just adds character.
