insanity

We went to church camp a couple of weeks ago and William learned how to ride his bike with no training wheels. When we got there, we didn't make it up till Friday but the camp started on Wed, his cousin Kate had was riding with out training wheels. He wanted to do it. I wrote it off but later Joe was helping him ride Kate's bike. Nick came up a few hours later so Wills climbed on Kate's bike while I held it to show Nick. I totally let go of the bike and the kid can ride really well!!! Nick ran next to him for awhile but he didn't even have to learn how to balance he just new how. Insanity I tell you! My almost three year old can ride a bike with no help and no training wheels. Some three year olds don't even ride bikes with training wheels. Pretty cool.

I know this picture has some issues but the point is to show Allie's cute pigtails. Her hair is long enough to be pulled up in the back and the front. Nick complains because he thinks i am bugging her but I just tell him that he is SOOO not in charge of that department (little girl hair that is) and obviously I am not hurting her :) Plus she looks so cute! side view

birthday

Allie turned 1 on July 16th. We are so thankful for our sweet little baby. She is full of tenacity and keeps us busy. She has gotten really good at walking and now runs away from us. She thinks it is funny. She loves to play games with us. If one of us is on the floor they both come to play. She learns a lot from William. This can be good and bad... They are both pretty loud and when they don't get what they want they both yell about it. They have a great time together but they also fight about stuff. She adores her daddy just like William and they compete to play with him. I guess they do this with me to. As I sit here typing they are playing pic-a-boo with blankets. They are having a great time! Allie loves to climb on everything so i have to keep a close on eye on what they are doing. If they are in the other room I have to keep my ears open cause they are trouble together.


She learned to play motorcycles from Wills. She takes his motorcycles and makes engine noises with them and drives them around. It cracks me up! She went to the Dr. yesterday and she is a healthy little girl, which we are very thankful for. She has thinned out lately and so in her percentiles she is skinny and tall (but that could change daily.) Allie LOVES to eat. Nick is shocked by how much she can consume. She often eats as much as Wills (he likes to snack though.) I am sure there are a lot of other things I should write about our sweet baby but that is all that I can think of right now as I try to type and mediate between the little munchkins.

we celebrated her birthday a few days early because summer is busy and it was the best time for my family.

summer time

Summer is busy. We are thankful that Nick takes summers off of school so we get to play with daddy all the time. It keeps our schedule pretty full but we love it that way. We haven't done anything unusually exciting lately just a lot of outside playing and hanging out. Our 4th was low key. We went to my parents house and had a bbq with the Thornton's and then caught fireworks. It was a great weekend cause we got to hang our with daddy extra time! Yay! we were hanging out at home on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and I look over to see Nick taking a nap and Wills laying on top of him. I love what a cuddle bug that boy is (wills is, not Nick) Wills is so cute cause he just cuddles with Nick he doesn't really give him an option :) I love it. If you didn't pick up on it he get's it from me :) Nick just feels bad hurting his feelings so he allows it.Wills was pretending to sleep. LOL he thinks he is funny. Honestly I do to.
