taking care of Keira

here are some different pictures of our sweet little baby who is going to be 6 weeks old on Tuesday, where does the time go?!? here are a few of the different style we have of taking care of her.

Momma put her on the bed because she likes to sleep on the "big" bed just like Wills and Allie do. (she usually sleeps in her crib but it did make us laugh her first night when she refused to sleep any where but in mommies arms, another cuddler:)

Wills and Allie doing some painting while Keira sleeps in the swing. She loves the swing which is nice. Allie loved painting, lots of clean up...

William loves Keira! He tells us that all the time. He will tell me she has the cutest hands and feet. I think it is absolutely adorable how much he just loves that little girl. He went and got some books to read to her. He did this completely on his own. Makes mommy so happy! Love it!

I am not trying to put my hubs in a bad light. I think it is funny :) And although he leaves most of the baby duty to me he is a great daddy.

the pool

I bought the kids a little pool to play in this summer. It took us forever to get the thing blown up and they were pretty excited when it was all set up. The day before we set it up the were playing with the sprinkler then having a snack outside. They make laugh! I love those two silly kiddos!

Here is their pool all set up.I put in the slide and that offered another half our of fun.

So that was really fun for a week but here is the problem... it takes a lot of water so I can't dump it every day so the water gets really yucky and then the inside of the pool got completely gross and smelled horrible. Wills jumped in and then yelled this smells like poop. It reminded me of Florida... So now to plan B. We shall see where that leads.

life at home

well I am busy today, shocking I know!!! A new mommy of three busy?!? We are all doing well. I feel like life has leveled out and becoming normal. I have actual managed to take all three children places by myself. I wasn't sure that day would ever come :) I am also hoping to avoid that as much as possible, lol. The problem is that Keira is in her seat usually be fabulous, Allie has to be in the cart/stroller and then Wills has to walk so if Wills and Allie aren't behaving or happy it makes for kaos.

So anyway... the baby is doing really well. I think she might have thrush so we are trying to deal with that. She is such a sweet little thing though it doesn't seem to bother her that much. She hates the medicine that I have to give her and it makes me feel like I am betraying her when I give it to her and she makes this dirty face. Poor sweet baby. She is a good sleeper for the most part. She goes to sleep at night for about 4 or so hours wakes up to eat goes back to sleep for 21/2 -3 hours and so on and so forth. Most of the time she will got back to sleep while she is eating. Sometimes she will stay awake and I have to put her paci in and try to get her sleeping but she is at least trying to sleep. She definitely has to be burped though after she eats. It isn't hard to get her to burp but she gets upset sometimes cause her tummy gets gassy. She really is a great baby and we are all enjoying her. William keeps saying that he loves his Keira and that babies are cuter then big people. Allie keeps singing happy birthday, LOL, this week it is to herself. It is very cute! She loves to sing. They both do. They sing a Jars of Clay song Dead man it is really pretty funny. Allie sings dead man dead man and then yells FREEEEEE. I need to video tape it. Anyway... I know this is kinda  a jumbled mess but it is kinda of reflection of my house so I better go finish the laundry :)

Tahoe

these 4 pictures somehow got deleted while writing this post so sorry they are out of order... but I wanted to add them anyway... I wrote about where they are from further down...

Charity and Nick, Notice Charity's feet don't reach. Allie love to be pushed on bikes. She had the break pushed down for awhile... it was funny.

Nick ridding two kids in the trailer. Kate's bike was tiny so she couldn't keep up so the kids took turns in trailer. Kate and Allie started and then Kate rode someone elses bike. She is the best of the three girls at riding. She is a determined little thing. She laughed and said she was built more like Dan and so she had more leg power backing her up (that isn't to be taken as an insult to Chrisy.)

My parents went camping on Memorial day weekend up in Tahoe. Dan and Chrisy were going out of town to a wedding my parents had "the girls" that term doesn't include Autumn yet, lol, she still goes with mom and dad. So Dave, Rach, Mom Dad and the girls were camping so we headed up and spent Sunday in Tahoe with them. Nick would have loved to camp but Keira was a week and half so I there was really no way I was camping. It was a gorgeous day in Tahoe and the kids had a blast ridding bikes around and roasting marshmallows. After their bike ride, Keira and I took a walk and enjoyed the nice weather, we went to commons beach and had Popsicles and the kids played.Reason # 7 why not to leave your children with Nick! (that is mostly a joke he is great with kids!)Beautiful lake TahoeWills and Grandpa Myers are budsMy parents bought a Tandem cruiser bike, LOL. my sister text me at like 11:00 p.m. one night to tell me the news. I stated laughing my head off. This is so my parents. Cute but totally dorky, lol, my mom doesn't understand why we all thought it was funny.Becca with her super heavy bikethis is how Kate rides the Tandem. Non of the girls legs fit so they just sit on the seat. Kate does one better and then she yells "Come on Nick go faster!!!" very funny.WillsAllie loves to ride bikes! She can't reach the peddles all the way down to the big bikes but it won't be long.

their fathers children

I took these before Keira was born and never got a chance to post them. It had been raining all day and Nick had school this night so the kids didn't have any lively distractions aka dad to play with so we decided to ride bikes during a break in the rain. Turns out there wasn't one so the kids went out into the rain anyway. That is the whole "their fathers children", weather never stops Nick, in fact overcast rainy days are inspirational to him, they make me want to cuddle up and read a book (pre motherhood :). So here are the kiddos playing in the rain. it didn't take long for them to get soaked
he had so much fun! He kept yelling oh yeah when he would hit puddles. He was swerving back in forth through the puddles.

I have to admit that not letting the rain keep you inside it great! we have had some great rainy day adventures. cute little wet face

I am not sure if I mentioned that Nick called me up a few Saturdays before Keira was born and said "So I have some good news, we found a couple bikes on sale" now you might be thinking great! I thought, wait a second he said a couple bikes?!? so Wills and Nick came home with new bikes. After many long discussions to work out some problems (serious problems) mom had with this method... Wills got his new bike and I have to admit that it is much nicer for him. his other bike was either 10' or 12' and this one is 16' so he can go a lot faster. He loves it! That boy cruises!

here are some recent pictures of our sweet little Keira. We are all enjoying her a lot. The kids love having her around. Allie was just telling me that she was her sister. very cute!after a nice clean bathgetting all cleanmommies helper... Allie is a lot of work to keep away from the baby. Every time I turn around she is getting into something. Speaking of which she is suspiciously quiet...brb... yup she was in trouble. she got into babies bassinet laid down and put her pacifier in her mouth. She told me she was sleeping...I got her out and then she went into the bathroom and washed her hands with a bunch of soap, all in about 2 minutes... I am a busy momma!sneaky little monkey.so far people say she looks like William.that isn't Keira's cup in case you were wondering. Allie decided that is where her cup belonged.
