Our tree

we waited longer then usual to get out Christmas tree this year. We got it two weekends ago instead of the day after Thanksgiving. We have just had busy weekends lately. Here are the pictures of us decorating our tree. We decided to keep our tree small this year since even that is hard to fit in our apartment.
wills couldn't wait to get our tree! He asked every day till we got it.
we got a train set that goes around our tree. Wills and Nick are pretty excited about it. Here you can just see the light blur as it goes by.she wasn't much help decorating but she likes the treefunny little guy loves to sport the undies!
I have a few of the boys cutting the tree down, in the poring rain, but they are on the other card in the other camera and that just isn't going to happen right now. Hope you are all having a lovely time getting ready for Christmas. I can't believe it is already here...

winter wonderland

We got snow last week in Rocklin. A week ago on Monday Nick came back in the house, when he left at 6:30, to tell me it had snowed at our house. I don't think this has happened since c1972. I was like great honey and went back to sleep :) ( I am not a morning person and it doesn't work well for our schedule for me to attempt to be...maybe when Wills has to go to school or something...) Anyway... I was quite happy just looking at it from inside the nice warm house but after talking to my sister I decided I was being a way lame mommy and needed to forget all my choirs and take the kiddos outside before it all melted. So out we went. They both loved to be outside in it. Wills insisted on bringing his quad. We didn't take it for long.

On Wednesday after preschool we headed over to Grandma's house. They got WAY WAY more snow then we did and there was still plenty on the ground. They get snow usually once a year but it doesn't usually last for more then one day and since we have lived there since 1990ish we have never had that much.
Wills took one of the bikes to it right away. I forgot to bring the kids gloves so that wasn't fun and any time Allie fell she started crying. I think they both had fun though. On our way home they both went out. Wills told me he was tired but hungry and more hungry then tired so I gave him the pretzels. I guess he was wrong, he was actually more tired then he was hungry.
We pulled out the quad and dirt bike to have a little snow fun. It is crazy to try to ride a dirt bike in the snow because you loose all traction in your rear tire and it slips. It was pretty stinking funny and rach could have gotten some very humorous pictures of my face when I had to plant my foot to keep from falling off. William really wanted to ride his dirt bike in the snow even though I was wary so it was mommy's labor or love. Not such a bad one of you ask me.Rach took Allie on the quad while Wills and I rode the dirt bikeIn case you think we are being irresponsible by not having a helmet on Allie let me clarify by saying her neck isn't strong enough for her to wear it when she rides. It doesn't work at all. We usually don't wear it when she is ridding. Although when you have little passengers you ride really slowly. I usually don't get it out of first. I am absolutely adamant though that everyone who rides our quad has to have a helmet on. William is never allowed to ride with out one on his dirt bike. Rach and I ditched the kids and tried out the quad in the snow. It was super fun to go out and not worry about making sure the kids were securely on. The snow was super fun because you could kick your back end out and just slide all over. We both had a blast. spinning some donutsRachel's turn. Look at that snow fly!Kicking some serious butt on the quad.so fun to break your tires loose! I think she has a wheel of the ground?

We both had a blast! Rach said that was the most fun she has ever had on a quad. I almost didn't want to show Nick the pictures or tell him about it cause he had to be diligent and go to work and school so he didn't get to have a quad snow adventure. In the long run that is probably good cause Rach and i are just a little more cautious then Nick.

preschool

William and I participate in preschool on Wednesdays. Last week after school we decorated cookies for Christmas. The kids loved it. Here are the little cuties that participate in school with us.

Allie participates in Child care. She wasn't very happy about that this week. She did like her popcorn though!Grace and Carson decorating cookies. Carson is still a little young to participate in preschool but he really wants to!

Flag football

I love my family. It is so much fun to have a big group almost always available and ready to be active. On Thanksgiving a smaller group got together for some flag football. I refrained from participating this year due to being pregnant. One of the hardest parts of being pregnant for me is giving up contact sports. Oh well, its a small sacrifice in the long run.
Here are some of the highlights. These pictures might be boring for most of you. sorry you didn't get to play then it may be more exciting.
Here were the kids watching and playing. We did have our own 2v2 mini flag football match. Wills and I won but if Tom hadn't kept running out of bounds he probably could have gotten past of me. He is a fast, low to the ground, little fella. Wills was whipped and kept crying when his flag got pulled. He was pathetic but funny. Here Maria is QB for the red teamJoc is blitzingRia passes the ball off to NateWho runs it inNick is now QB'ingJoe throwing the ball
Wills and two of his best buds Tom and RisaRach running it in for a TD James chasing her before getting inthe yellow team was all about the huddle. I have to admit though they had some fun plays and the team playing has the serious advantage in this game.I love this picture! It makes me laugh so hard!!! Rach is blocking for Dave who already went by. LOL so funny! Nick was able to grab his flag and Nate's look shows it all.Nick has to throw the ball high because Dave is significantly taller then he is.Joe getting the throw out while the heat is coming from Will ThorntonWills kick offNate's run backChecking to make sure his flags are still intact.Touch down!Rach makes me laugh. BRING IT RED TEAM!Interception and run back from NickNick's kick off
Sorry if that was boring. Those who played will enjoy them :)
When I asked who won Rach said "We didn't keep score but we won" lol...
