Nick was taking the pictureWe recently took a trip with my family to Newport Beach. We stayed at Marriott Villa's. Wills really enjoyed the extra space considering the place we were staying was about twice the size of our apartment. William also had fun being around so many people all the time. We also had a chance to go to Disneyland. Wills cousins had a lot of fun but he didn't really enjoy it because he was constantly stuck in the stroller of the backpack. He probably enjoyed the ride, "it's a small world after all," the most. If you have ever had the pleasure of being on that ride you know that it can only be tolerated once in a long while. When we returned from Disneyland Wills was so excited to be home that he was laughing. He was so happy just caring around the soccer ball. I felt kind of bad that he was so excited to be home because that meant he really didn't like where we were. He did behave pretty well however. All told the trip went well we enjoyed ourselves even though we missed Daddy who had to return early to go back to work.
Because we were going to be taking a long drive we decided to move Wills to a big car seat. Aunt Chrisy had an extra seat so we are borrowing that for now. He really enjoys being in the big seat although it is difficult when he goes to sleep. So far he is transporting pretty well. The other feature the big seat lacks is a movable sun shade. We put shades up on the already tinted window but the light is pretty bright and the little man doesn't enjoy it.
We used a baby backpack carrier and two jogging strollers. It was nice to have because Rebecca and Charity can still fit in the strollers so everyone took turns.
My mom LOVES the parades so she made sure we caught them. Clearly my sister Rachel doesn't share her same passion. Wills was pretty fascinated by all the movement and activities.
