My final post on New port (post 8)

The day we left we swung by Laguna beach to hang out for awhile. I figured tire the kids out so they would hopefully sleep several of the hours we had to drive home. I think it did help. The drive really went very well. Wills discovered angry birds the day before so he played some of that and the kids watched a few movies.

It was a chili day on the beach which was kind of a bummer but it all worked out fine.

birthday party (newport post 7?)

man we did a lot at Newport, lol. we actually did this the day before Dave’s graduation, sorry it’s out of order. So Dave, Chrisy, and my mom all celebrate birthdays in May, add mothers day and Keiras birthday now and it’s a busy month for our fam. We decided to have a nice dinner and do a little party.

the Newport Marriot is very kid friendly as you will see in the pictures. We had a great little party and everyone arrived right on time despite Nick, Nate, Gav and Dave going to Magic mountain for the day and rachel finish school and packing up her dorm.

Dave graduation (newport post 6)

my brother Dave graduated from The Masters college. We were able to schedule our trip to catch his graduation while we were down there. He technically graduated in December but he walked in May. My sister is planning to graduate this coming May so we will most likely be repeating the experience. Getting to his graduation was a bit of a fiasco. We left with like an two hours to get there and we all sat in traffic for a long time! We ended up having to skip dinner and just go straight to the graduation. Dave was a great sport about it and thankfully Maria was able to meet Dave and have dinner with him (she is doing her PT Masters program down there.) We had to take three cars, our car went to drop Keira and Autumn off at the Pickard house, Autumn got car sick so when we go there her stuff all had to be pulled out and washed. We find out later that in my parents car my brother Josh got sick… it was kinda crazy really, but we all made it!

swimming (post 5 of Newport)

we swim a lot when we are there even if the weather is cold. The pools are nice you just have to make sure you don’t get out of the water. :) the following week though it rained so I am so thankful we had nice weather.
