Our growing family

Well July was crazy. Really. crazy. Every weekend we had something going on. We celebrate my birthday, ALlie’s birthday and Williams birthday. Busy. Here is what we did.

1st weekend, we had the 4th of July party that you’ve already seen pictures of, then we headed to the cabin for a big family weekend tied in with my birthday. My sister had also just gotten back from a 6 week mission trip to Germany so it was super fun to just spend time with her.

The next weekend was a bridal shower for my cousin Joc who got married in August.

The following week was Allie’s birthday. My sister and I went to the state fair on kids get in free & $1 ride day. I’m glad she came with me because they wouldn’t let me go on any rides pregnant, even the carousel. That weekend we had church camp Th-Sun.

The following week we had a swim party for William and Allie’s birthdays. I think it was on a Tuesday. I am planning to write post about each one of the kids soon I just haven’t had a chance… some day some day. After the party we had a family celebration of my brother Dans, Williams, and Allies birthdays. Thursday of that week I went to a Brad Paisley concert with my sister, brother, and a bunch of cousins. I’m thankful my family members are some of my very best friends. Then the next day I headed up for a girls weekend at the cabin for Jocelyn’s bachelorette party. We came home Sunday around 12 and then headed to celebrate my Grandma’s 80th birthday at 2. If you are tired just reading this then you are getting a glimpse into our July. All fun stuff, just really, really busy.

August also flew by. My sister headed back to school August 1. William started soccer the first or second week of August. William started homeschool/ charter school August 14th and Joc got married Aug 25. So there were lots of little things going on all the time for that. I plan to come back and post about August but for now here are our July pictures.

sorry I was absent so long. As you can see, I’ve been busy, plus when there is spare time this prego is tired. I’m realizing lately though that as busy as I feel now in a few short weeks my life is about to get busy in a different sort of way. We will probably be home more but nursing and changing diapers takes a lot of time. I remember also, wondering when Keira was born if I’d ever feel like I had time to do anything ever again so I’m sure that feeling will return.

here was the 4th of July

here are the cabin birthday weekend pictures. My sister was doing soccer training so every day she had different activities she was suppose to do. This day she did sprints up a loose gravel hill while we were at a lake. Nice work Rach. Nice work!

we didn’t plan on the kids getting gin the water but that never phases my momma she just let the girls get in in their undies, lol. Here they are having a snack.

it’s tough being the baby… especially the 5th you just get to join everyone else and take your naps along the way :)

these two are either fighting or having the best time together. Silly little ladies. I’m glad they really do enjoy each other though.

the boys having a strategic planning meeting for the Labor day work day that they have since had…Aunt Rach we sure miss you when you are gone!!! We love you!

Ria is the best :) Kids just love her. Ria and Joc came up to hang out for my birthday so we went to Donner and took the canoes out and miss Keira took a little nap on her ride. Before I got the picture and her out of the boat though a wave came and hit her and woke her up.

this made me laugh. Here are the girls P90xing it up :) more of Rach’s soccer training. This was her light day and they did yoga.

I also randomly threw these in. They were from Fathers day, lol. we had a nice dinner at gpa and gma’s after a bit of swimming. My parents were actually babysitting the girls and Jill so they were on duty for the weekend…

I also need to do a pool post at some point because all the various steps of putting the pool in are pretty interesting to see!

here was Jocelyns bridal shower pictures. Ria Rach Chrisy and I hosted this. In very jocelynesc fashion we had make your own salad for dinner with bread and fruit. it was very yummy. For dessert we had frozen yogurt and a ton of toppings you could add yourself.

Ria and Rach were in charge of the games. The funniest moment of the evening, at least for us, was when we were playing “name that song being played” we added an extra bonus song which was Jocelyn’s senior project song that she recorded herself. Very funny, lol.

Joc had 8 brides maids and it occurred to me that I might be the oldest but I actually missed that by 1 months (heehee) I have been married the longest of the group though, so I led my first ever “devotional”.

opening presents and getting asked “Blake and Jocelyn questions” here was her wod of gum… she did well though. The night before the shower we went to dinner for my birthday and Ria and Rach were both texting Blake these questions it was pretty funny. We also saw the movie what to expect when you are expecting and I have to say that it made me laugh quite a few times. My sister asked me if it was weird seeing it while pregnant. funny funny.

These pictures honestly crack me up. She was trying to hold up 4 fingers and couldn't do it so Wills helped her. Sooo funny.

we got her dress up shoes because she loves to dress up… funnies thing though, she put them on and was trooping around and she kept slipping. They were really slick on our floor and it was pretty funny to watch her attempt to walk. She mastered it pretty quickly.

Church camp photo’s. The campground we stayed at was super dusty. After worship time in the morning there were kids team games. Here are some of the team leaders playing games. You can’t see one of the ladies from the church in the picture very well but she was a hard core team leader and didn’t even think of backing down in this game! The last game the kids played was setting all the kids up in a square and launching water balloons at them. It was NASTY. They were in the middle of major dust so it all turned to mud. So gross. Cruel really. The kids could get up and move at any point but you got more point for your team if you stayed. Not the best planning for location for that game.

oh he misses aunty rach! They had lots of summer snuggle time.

Talent night or exposition of a lack of talent maybe :)

during the talent show these three decided to take their chairs and set up their own talent show. So funny!

Hard to see but this was Ria rach joc and ruth doing a skit where the people from behind are your arms. Ria and Ruth even let them do their make up. Crazy brave girls, Ria almost lost an eye when Joc tried doing her mascara :)

I’m not sure why I didn’t take pictures of the dirt bike riding. IT was big part of the weekend. Wills and Nick rode around a bit despite the dust.

The next July event was the joint swim birthday party. Here are some pictures.

Nick thought wills needed his first mountain bike. Here was the boys face when he saw it. :) and for the record the bike is way bigger then I thought it would be. I’ll have to post a few pictures of him ridding it when I get around to it…

oh yes the other thing we did around this time was watch summer Olympics. I love the Olympics but I’m never to sad when they are over because it’s so nice to not feel like you want to stay up late every night. We don’t have a dvr either so that doesn’t help.

and can you believe that is my baby?!? she’s gotten huge hasn’t she? Nick keeps telling me “yeah, that’s why you’re getting another one…” and for the record she doesn’t like being called my baby any more. She’s says No, I Keira. She is snuggle bug though, I love it! I just couldn’t believe how long she stretched out to next to daddy.

yes, we did buy Joc this sexy outfit she had to wear for the evening :) funny how she still looks fabulous!

we had each lady bring a pair of underwear that represented her personality (in Joc’s size) and then joc had to match the underwear with the girl and at the end got a whole new wardrobe of undies. I think she got all but 4 or 5 right. I was shocked. She pretty much rocked it. For the record she would probably have gotten my mom wrong except there was an exceptional amount of hints from my mom, it was rediculous.

oh look, I really am pregnant. I also don’t think any pregnant girl really likes pictures of herself pregnant. It brings to mind the song from Madagascar “I like em’ chunky…” and as a side note my upper chest got super super burnt from sitting in the sun for 20 min. I kid you not! Fried. I’d been in the sun a lot this summer already but it was pretty strong this day cause I got fried :(
